1979 A- Chevrolet Malibu Modified Street Machine
Click Photo (More Info.)
GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR FOURTH GENERATION MALIBU ENTHUSIASTS. THIS CLASSIC HAS EVOLVED THROUGH THREE SEPERATE INCARNATIONS IN THE HISTORY OF THE CAR. BORN AS A NO FRILLS, SIX CYLINDER, NO A/C, GROCERY GETTER. TRANSFORMED INTO A RADICAL STREET MACHINE. NOW HAS BEEN RECONFIGURED TO A NICE, AGGRESSIVE, VERY STREETWORTHY CRUISER/STREET MACHINE. MILEAGE ON ODOMETER DISPLAYS A LITTLE OVER 7,700. ACTUAL MILEAGE UNKNOWN. REPAINTED IN CORVETTE WAR BONNET YELLOW. MODIFIED, BUT VERY STREETWORTHY DRIVE TRAIN. VERY NICE STOCK FACTORY INTERIOR. THE FOURTH GENERATION MALIBU IS WILDLY POPULAR AT THE DRAG STRIPS, AND THE AFFORDABILITY OF THE CARS HAS LAUNCHED THEM INTO THE FOREFRONT OF THE CLASSIC CAR HOBBY. A NICELY BUILT MALIBU CAN BE PURCHASED FOR A FRACTION OF THE COST OF A CHEVELLE OR CAMARO. THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST EXAMPLES OF THIS MODEL THAT YOU WILL FIND IN THIS PRICE RANGE. RUNS AND DRIVES AS WELL AS IT LOOKS. DON'T LOSE THIS OPPORTUNITY.

As stated above, this beauty has a unique history. Originally a base model, with six cylinder engine and no air conditioning. A family grocery getter. The car was then reconfigured into a ground pounding street machine, with a 383 stroker engine. Finally, a decision was made to tame the beast into a mildy modifed, extremely drivable street machine.

Southern body has been refinished in War Bonnet Yellow, which was available on Corvettes. The original color appears to be Camel Poly, which is still present under the hood, in the trunk, and the door jams. Base coat, clear coat that has never been wet sanded and buffed. Although the current exterior has a glossy shine, a wet sand and buff would significantly enhance the finish. All steel cowl hood. Dual sport mirrors. GM Rally Wheels with derby caps and trim rings. Radial tires all the way around. Radial Touring P195/65R15 on the front. Cooper Trendsetter P225/70R15 on the rear. Rear spoiler added. All glass is in very good shape. Chrome and stainless bright work in very good shape. Both bumpers are in great shape. Seals and weatherstripping in very nice condition.

The monster stroker engine was removed and replaced with a rebuilt 350 Cu. In. engine. Edelbrock Competition Series carburetor mounted on an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. Cast iron heads. Hydraulic cam and valve train. HEI ignition. Headers flow through an X pipe, then split out to a dual Flowmaster Exhaust. Exhaust dumps out behind rear axle. Turbo automatic transmission. Shift kit and 2200 RPM stall converter. Column shifted. Ten bolt differential. Heavy duty coil springs with heavy duty shock absorbers. Undercarriage is not highly detailed. However, it is extremely clean and rock solid. Trunk is very clean. Spare tire and jack are present.

Factory Saddle bench seat interior. Seats and cushions of the front and back seat are in very good condition. Front door panels in very good condition. Rear panels have some sun fading, but could easily be redyed. Headliner in nice condition. Dash is in good condition, with a few minor cracks. Carpet is in good shape. Power steering. Power disc brakes. A set of gauges were mounted in the driver pillar, but they have been removed. There are three Sun Pro gauges, volts, oil pressure, and water temperature mounted in the dash. All gauge faces are all clear. There is an electric fuel pump switch on the left side of the dash. This is disconnected, as there is now no electric fuel pump. There is also a master cutoff switch under the dash, which is functional. Full set of seat belts. AM/FM/CD with nine inch coaxial speakers in the package shelf, round speakers in rear door panels, and front.

If you are looking for a quality, fourth generation, nice looking and driving Malibu, at an unbelievable price, take a close look at this one. You won't be disappointed.

1965 A- Ford Mustang Resto Mod
Click Photo (More Info.)
THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. ALTHOUGH THERE SEEMS TO BE CONFUSION AND DISAGREEMENT AMONG AUTO ENTHUSIASTS AS TO THE DIFFERENCE, THE FACT IS THAT PRO TOURING AND RESTO MOD ARE TWO DIFFERENT BUILDS WITH TWO DIFFERENT PURPOSES. THEY MAY LOOK AND SOUND SIMILAR, BUT THEY EACH HAVE A SEPERATE NICHE IN THE PERFORMANCE WORLD. THE BUILDER OF THIS HOT ROD HAD A VISION. HIS VISION WAS TO COMBINE THE NEW SCHOOL PERFORMANCE OF A RESTO MOD WITH THE HANDLING AND ROADABILITY OF A PRO TOURER. THIS MUSTANG IS A NICE BLEND OF BOTH WORLDS, AND IT STILL LOOKS LIKE A 1965 MUSTANG! IT TOOK FOUR YEARS TO BUILD THIS PERFORMANCE MACHINE. VIRTUALLY EVERY COMPONENT ON THIS VEHICLE IS RESTORED, REPLACED, OR REBUILT.

Every car enthusiast is familiar with the story of the Ford Mustang. The Mustang single handedly created a new classification in automobile lore- Pony Car. A sports car design with long hoods, short rear decks, and a V8 engine. This was in response to the invasion of the European sports cars, most notably the British models. The target market was the Baby Boomer generation, which were just entering the car market. The Mustang has stood the test of time as the most popular and iconic vehicles in the history of automobilia.

Of course, the Mustang launch was an overwhelming success. The first day of sales, 22,000 units were sold. 400,000 were sold in the first twelve months, and over a million were sold in the first two years. Now approaching the 50th anniversary year, production has approached or exceeded ten million units. The Mustang is the third oldest nameplate in Ford history, surpassed only by the F Series truck and the Falcon (Which is still produced in Australia).

From first year of manufacture, the hot rodders and gear heads started tinkering, modifying, and upgrading these Mustangs in an effort to increase performance. To this day, the five generations of Ford Mustangs are abundant on the street, at the strip, and at road courses nationwide. In fact, the fifth generation drew inspiration from the original, first generation 1964-1970 Mustangs. The design has been dubbed Retro-Futurism. The original Mustang was back, in an upgraded and improved form, and sales skyrocketed. The rest is history.

In the early days, the modifications and performance upgrades were not complex, as technology was still very basic. As time evolved, new developments in the automotive aftermarket industry created two new classifications- Resto Mod and Pro Touring. What is the difference? Ask fifty auto buffs the definitions, and you will get fifty different answers. Some people believe the answer is as black and white as Pro Touring refers to GM based vehicles, and Resto Mod to Ford. That is incorrect.

A simple explanation would be as follows: A Resto Mod is a classic that has been restored using modern components to upgrade drivability, comfort, and safety. A Pro Touring has more of a European orientation. Emphasis is on higher speed performance, handling, and braking.

As stated, this Mustang combines aspects of both classifications. To simplify the ad, here is a list of the new, rebuilt, etc. components on the vehicle: New - Billet upper and lower grille front fiberglass lower valance front and rear bumpers radiator battery Kelsey Hayes disc brakes power booster and master cylinder rear brakes shocks - all four fender bolts Monte Carlo brace AOC valve air fuel mixture unit solenoid

THIS IS A UNIQUE HOT ROD. THIS ISN'T SOME JUNK WITH PRIMER SLOPPED ON IT. THIS IS A PURPOSE BUILT CLASSIC. THE BODY WAS JUST PREPPED AND REFINISHED IN BLACK SATIN PAINT. GRAPHICS WERE ADDED TO THE BODY. THE ROOF HAS AN OLD SCHOOL POP ART MURAL THAT WAS DONE BACK IN THE DAY, AND IT WAS PRESERVED AS A THROWBACK TO THE ERA. FIVE SPOKE CHROME WHEELS, AND FOR THE TRUE STOCK LOOK, ORIGINAL STEEL WHEELS, HUB CAPS, AND EXTRA SET OF TIRES GO WITH IT. BUILT WITH THE WILDLY POPULAR FORD 289 CU. IN. ENGINE, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THIS BABY IS DEPENDABLE ENOUGH TO DRIVE ANYWHERE. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE FORD COUNTRY SQUIRE STATION WAGON , WHILE WEARING "COUNTRY SQUIRE" BADGING FOR MANY YEARS, WAS ACTUALLY PART OF THE GALAXIE 500 LINEUP IN 1964 AND 1965. THESE WAGONS FEATURED THE SAME TRIM AS THE 500 INSIDE AND OUT, AND WERE AN UPGRADE FROM THE BASE MODEL COUNTRY SQUIRE LINEUP. THIS UNIQUE HOT ROD IS PRICED SO ANYONE CAN AFFORD IT. DON'T LET THIS ONE PASS BY. YOU WON'T FIND ANOTHER JUST LIKE IT.

1964 was a banner year for Ford. Not only was the Ford Mustang debuted in 1964, but also the Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt Two-Door Hardtop. The Mustang was an attractive, sporty, vehicle that offered visual appeal and performance, while the Fairlane Thunderbolt was a drag racing machine that had the performance to take on any production vehicle created during that era. Although these models grabbed all the headlines, Ford offered many more unique and popular platforms.

The Fairlane was sold between 1955 and 1970. The name was derived from Henry Ford's estate, Fair Lane, near Dearborn, MI. Over time, the name referred to a number of different cars in different classes. By 1962, the Fairlane was revamped from a full size to a mid size, to bridge the gap between the compact Ford Falcon and the full-sized Galaxie. In mid 1963 production, a station wagon model was added to the Fairlane lineup. Originally built as a grocery getter and family traveler, some ambitious hot rodders have created unique and one of a kind variations. This is one of those unique modified examples.

The body has just been prepped and refinished in Satin Black paint. This is not primer. Period correct graphics have been applied to the body. Back in the day, a vintage pop art mural was painted on the roof, from front to back. It has been cleared over and preserved. The art work that was involved in this mural is amazing. Glass all around is in very good condition. Stainless and chrome in good shape, with patina. Front bumper is in good condition. Rear bumper is fair, with dents and dings. Dual sport mirrors. Five spoke chrome wheels with radial tires. Look great on the car. However, if you want a stocker look, the original steel wheels, with tires and hubcaps, are included. Currently has a hot rod/rat rod look, but would make a great surf or beach wagon also.

Most of the interior appears original. Both front and rear seat backs are in decent condition. The front and rear cushions are worn. The Indian blankets represent popular rat rod look. If you want to remove the blankets, some seat work will be required. Dash is all original. Custom vintage door panels. No headliner. Billet spoked steering wheel. Factory AM radio. A/C unit mounted under the dash.

Mildly built 289 Cu. In. engine. Holley four barrel carburetor mounted on Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. Hydraulic cam and valve train. HEI ignition. Tube headers are connected to a Flowmaster exhaust. Manual drum brakes. Automatic transmission. The undercarriageis not undercoated, hiding any flaws. The complete undercarriage is original and untouched, with its' natural finish. It is clean and solid.

You won't find another. You won't find anything like it at this price. This is an opportunity to own a rare, one of a kind classic for pennies on the dollar.

With a design run spanning model years from 1972 to 1989, enthusiasts around the globe feel the third generation Mercedes-Benz SL is a model that most embodies the image of the company and the elements that led to its acceptance as a premier automaker worldwide. Dubbed internally as the “107 body” by company engineers, these SLs spanned 18 model years in the United States and abroad without body panel changes of any kind. When one considers that annual sales of 107 body SLs during its second decade were almost twice as high as during its first, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that designers got this car right from the start.

The 107 found fans among a wealth of corporate executives, celebrities in the Hollywood / Beverly Hills scene, professional athletes, and rock stars alike. Bold styling, V8 power, and a removable steel roof launched the 450 SL into the Mercedes spotlight.

Appears to be primarily original paint, except for the hood. Code 42 Palm Green, with wood grain accents. Finish is in average condition. Stainless is in very good condition, as well as emblems. Glass is in good shape, including the sky lights. Single sport mirror. Cowl hood has been molded into the 442 hood, secured with hood pins. Factory original Jade Green vinyl bench seat interior. Complete interior could use a good cleaning. Seats and cushions in average condition. A few seam cracks on driver side of front and rear seat. Again, remember this is the original factory interior. Some may grade this interior as good condition for its' age. Original door panels in good shape. Original dash in good shape. Headliner in very good condition. Original carpet in fair condition. Wood grain trim in good shape, as well as bright work trim. This car was run in stock and modified classes, so the interior is not cut up and there is no roll cage. Grant GT mahogany steering wheel. Auto Meter programmable tachometer with shift lites. Oil pressure and water temperature gauges. Line Loc switch in the dash. As stated previously, when car was parked, electrical system was functioning. Rear power window, head and tail lights, signals, etc. were working. Manual windows roll up and down. Heater did work. It is unknown whether all components still function.

You won't see many of these for sale, and there are very few with these upgrades and options. Trades would be considered. What you see in the ad is what is included with the car. There is no engine. It is not known if any other components (bolts, fasteners, lines, mounts, etc.) are needed to complete the engine installation.

In conclusion, this is a rare and unique classic. Only 9,317 examples built in 1971. Set up to be used as either a pro street, cruising car, street machine, or drag car depending what engine you decide to install. Body and interior definitely in good enough shape to drive the car just as it is, displaying a little "old school" patina. The other option is to partially or fully restore it into a modified show car. One fact is undeniable. This Vista Cruiser will attract attention anywhere you go.
