Description:

BEAUTIFUL, ONE OWNER, ALL ORIGINAL CLASSIC!

1984 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS HURST/OLDS! ORIGINAL UNRESTORED CLASSIC! ORIGINAL PAINT, INTERIOR, AND DRIVETRAIN. 87,000 ORIGINAL MILES. TWO OWNERS. FULL FACTORY DOCUMENTATION. LIGHTNING ROD SHIFTERS! COMPLETE FILE OF MAINTENANCE RECEIPTS. THIS BEAUTIFUL HURST/OLDS HAS BEEN BABIED IT'S WHOLE LIFE.

HOT ROD MAGAZINE PROCLAIMED THAT THE '84 H/O WAS "THE BEST LOOKING COUPE MADE BY GM" IN 1984. CARS AND CONCEPTS OF BRIGHTON, MICHIGAN OUTDID THEMSELVES WITH THESE HURST CONVERSIONS.

The second owner has had this magnificent machine since 1988! As a long time member of the Hurst/Olds Club, he took meticulous care of his car. Original, all steel body panels still finished in the factory Special H/O Silver/Black with Red and Silver accent Stripes. Tinted Glass all around, in excellent condition. H/O Blister Hood. Front Air Dam. Rear Deck Lid Spoiler. Dual Sport Mirrors. Color Keyed Rallye II Wheels. Performance Radial GT Tires.

All original drivetrain, engine, and engine bay. The exception is the custom fitted Ram Air System and Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. The Ram Air tubes are attached to fabricated scoops under the air dam, just like the 1968 version. 5.0 Liter V8 engine. Rochester Computer Controlled Quadrajet Carburetor. Power Steering. Power Disc Brakes. Air Conditioning. Dual free flow exhaust with chrome tips.
The big news for 1984 was the revolutionary transmission. This tranny set the Hurst/Olds apart from the rest of the pack. The basis for the trans was the GM 200 R4 Turbo Automatic. However, it was tricked out similar to a drag car. The idea was to give the feel of torque when shifting, and enhance the impression of performance. The 3 speed, overdrive unit was well programmed. It employed a lock up converter with a 2400 stall speed. Hurst went one giant step further, introducing the "Lightning Rod", triple stick shifter. This shift linkage made the Dual Gate look like a Tinker Toy.
Couple this all up to a 3.73 rear gear in a ten bolt pumpkin, and it became obvious immediately that a 120 MPH speedometer should have been installed!

Gorgeous Maple Red cloth interior. Every component in the cabin is in excellent shape. Loaded with options. Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Tilt, Cruise Control, Six Way Power Reclining Driver's Seat. Reclining Passenger's Seat, Tach and Gauges, Tinted Glass, Digital AM/FM/Cassette, Console, Leather Wrapped Sport Steering Wheel, Lightning Rod Shifters.

WE CUT RIGHT TO THE CHASE ON THIS HOT ROD. THE PRICE IS SLASHED FOR AN IMMEDIATE SALE- WE MADE THIS ONE A NO BRAINER FOR YOU. JUST OVER 3,000 OF THESE WERE BUILT. HOW MANY TOTALLY ORIGINAL EXAMPLES DO YOU THINK ARE LEFT ON THE PLANET? DON'T WAIT. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BUY ON AN 80'S MUSCLE CAR ANYWHERE.

YOU CAN BE THE THIRD PROUD OWNER OF THIS CLASSIC.
