Description:
| THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL FOR '50'S ROCK AND ROLL MEMORABILIA COLLECTORS! POSSIBLY THE ONLY GUITAR IN EXISTENCE WITH ROCK LEGEND BUDDY HOLLY'S SIGNATURE! IN ADDITION, A BUDDY HOLLY ALBUM AND SEVERAL PHOTOS FROM THE SITE OF THE PLANE CRASH THAT CLAIMED HIS LIFE MUCH TOO SOON. ALSO INCLUDED IS A LETTER FROM BUDDY HOLLY'S WIFE.
This guitar was signed by Buddy Holly for a 12 year old boy for his birthday. The boy's mother had asked Buddy's wife if Buddy would sign the guitar for her son. The confirmation letter sent back to her by Buddy's wife is included with this piece.
The four black and white photographs that you see are actual crash scene pics of the plane that killed Buddy, the pilot, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper. They are signed and dated by the original photographer.Finding a guitar that was signed by ANY major performer of the Fifties is like looking for a needle in a haystack. It was not common practice. Most autographs were given simply on a piece of paper or a 45 label or cover.
The fact that Buddy Holly was unfortunately killed in this career ending plane crash coupled with the fact that this guitar was signed by special request, makes it possibly the only one that was EVER signed by this Rock Legend.
