It is well known that Oldsmobile reached it’s performance and design peak in 1970. One rare example of Oldsmobile ingenuity is the 1970 Cutlass SX.
This new for 1970 model was based on the Cutlass Supreme platform and offered in the new notchback coupe style. Rarity is value. These beautiful machines were only built in 1970-1971. In 1970, the extremely low production run was 6,404 coupes.
Fresh Matador Red base coat/clear coat finish. New black vinyl top. All chrome has been redone. All new Black vinyl bucket seat interior. Power steering, power disc brakes, tilt wheel. Aftermarket radio currently in the dash. However, no holes were cut in the dash and the original radio is in a box in the trunk. This is an original AC car. The box, controls, etc are present, but a new compressor, hoses, etc are needed. Horn, signals, lights, heater, wipers all function properly. Factory Rallye wheels with P255/60R15 radial tires. Ram air hood.
Rebuilt 455 Cu. In. engine. Rochester Quadro-Jet carburetor mounted on Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold. Turbo 400 automatic transmission with console and factory floor shifter. Factory 12 bolt rear differential. Full new exhaust with factory “Trumpet” tips outflowing through the factory cut out bumper.
This car is documented with the factory Protect-O-Plate!
